A child’s toes are the widest part of the foot. The last is widest there too, so toes spread and grip instead of being squeezed toward a point.

How to measure: stand them on paper with the heel against a wall, mark the tip of the longest toe, and measure heel to mark. Do both feet and use the longer one.

We add a 12 mm allowance for growth and free movement, then pick the next available size.
